Continuing Education

One of the major conversations in MLIS today is the idea of continuing education, and lifetime learning. This idea is interesting, because it allows for a position in which your duties are constantly changing (Never boring).

Some of the library education can be found by attending webinars on interesting topics, while others are in-person classwork, or independent study (such as my code academy work).

Because of my interest in becoming a digital or “techy” librarian, I’ve been lucky to stumble across so many additional technology training opportunities.
